by pieces of moments

Thanks to Will Robin over at Seated Ovation for the heads up on this one: a forthcoming biopic on 12th-century Benedictine nun Hildegard von Bingen. You know. The one who composed phenomenal music (never mind the wandering amongst the field grasses and labyrinths in the video **aside: why do “classical” music video almost always look ludicrous…except for those of Ian Bostridge…his videos for Schubert’s Winterreise rock). I confess my skepticism…but am totally going to see this film. Yay for biopics on composers this year! Stravinsky and now this? Who’s next!? I vote for Jean Sibelius, just because I think Peter Sarsgaard should play the composer.
