Over at Intelligent Life (a magazine you should know…seriously…it’s the life and style magazine from the Economist, but as far as I know the hard copy is still not available for purchase stateside = sadness) there’s this great little piece about “Masochistic Pianists” complete with some great CD recommends.
Man, I do love those Ligeti Etudes (watch for that freakin’ amazing muted-percussive-trill-thing action starting at 3:54).
