the rain in spain

by pieces of moments

I’m finally back in Bostonia. I managed to get (more) sick over the last 48 hours, so it was extra lovely to finally step into my own apartment again.

So this will be quick for now, but in the meantime, let me share with you briefly that one of my fabulous colleagues (and a good friend) who is passionate about Flamenco taught me some palmas while we were waiting around in dress rehearsal the other day. That inspired me to look around YouTube for some video of the greats, like Carmen Amaya (who one of my cousins had the pleasure of seeing live once upon a time) and Antonio Gades, seen here in the video.

I am now totally obsessed (thanks, Johana) and keep trying to perfect that totally addictive rhythm.
